Hi!

Somehow, I'm getting a bit bored of all these messages asking for a way to read
the INFO's in those several FSF-programs including DJGCC itself. A port of
Info/Makeinfo, the two programs to 'compile' the TEXINFO-files like gcc.tex to
INFO-files (Makeinfo), and to view these Hypertext-like INFO-files, are easily
available (prep.ai.mit.edu, ...) and the port to DJGCC seemed easy even to me.

So, if no-one else does it earlier, I'll bring my patches next time I visit
this computer-pool of our University, (probably not before next week, sorry..)
and try to upload them to clarkson, if I'm lucky enough to get into it. The
port has the following 'features':

- It's a patch of TEXINFO 2.17, or somewhere about that (don't remember
  exactly, sorry)
- Info/Makeinfo are able to work on no-matter-how-big TEXI's/INFO's (limit:
  swap space)
- I added a number of keys like 'F1' and a (to me) transparent Cursor-Key-
interface (CrsrRight is Next, CrsrUp is Up, ...) to ease use by normal
PC-users used to SAA(TM), and always pressing 'F1' when needing help 8-)

If anyone of you thinks, I should look at specific dangers I might have missed
thinking of in my port, MAIL ME until, say, this Friday, then I'll try to do
necessary changes until next Tuesday, or perhaps Thursday, 08. Juli. Perhaps,
I'll even document my changes a bit more.

You should also mail me, if you think I'm spreading something nobody wants 8-(.

Bye then,
		Hans-Bernhard

PS: I also am working a bit on a GNUPLOT V3.2 port using LIBGRX, printers and
file output (PBM, PS, ...): any interests?
