means Instruction pointer. The name comes from the 8086-Processsor, where
it simply was IP. On 80386+ all registers are 32-bit wide and the name
of the full register is the old name prefixed by an 'e', probably for
extended.

But this information is not of much use probably, because you got Parity-error
the second time, which means either that your RAM really isn't o.k., or
something is absolutely wrong, giving a more or less random error-message.
Do you have the possibility to check physical integrity of your RAM?
