Just use one of Andris or Ozkan's temporary builds (from CVS) and
refresh the 2.04 beta .ZIPS on the mirrors. Keep it 2.04 but
unofficially call it "beta2". At least then Juan wouldn't have to keep
patching popen.    ;-)

I haven't heard much lately, CWS is always busy, but he indeed (as of
like two years ago) was still very very interested in pushing out a
new release "eventually". So I wouldn't quite say no one is
interested.

I'm fairly useless, but even I'm willing to help in small ways if at
all possible.

With FreeDOS, DOSEMU, DOSBox, VirtualBox, et al., there's no reason to
totally give up on DJGPP. But maybe I'm being too naively optimistic
here.
