I do not know if this is enough testing, but since does days where the 
djev203 compiled tex binaries were available I have been using them 
constantly.Specialy to create all the dvi, ps docs distributed with 
the ports. The new tex binaries worked very well for me all those years 
and I have never used the old binaries again.
