I don't have any important comments except that, to avoid confusion,
I'd suggest to remove any references to DOS-specific functions such as
_open, _read, _write, etc.  The text actually says they will not
support the feature and need not be changed, but the names of the
relevant library modules are still in the document, which I think is
confusing.
