I wouldn't wait for the Large File Summit (LFS) changes. I have no intention
of trying to get them in until after 2.04 has shipped.

I have a vague plan that we should release the first alpha of 2.04 when:

* the symlink issues are sorted out;
* I fix the return code from strtof().

I can't think of anything else that would hold an alpha up.
