It's ready, but I won't distribute it: it has a couple of minor bugs,
and will be followed by a bugfix release in a few days.  I will upload
that when it's released by the Texinfo maintainer.

Don't bother: I already tried the 4.1 binary, and I see the same
behavior as you do.  I will look into this this weekend.
