It tends to barf out with an in-VM stack fault:

** Virtual Machine kernel stack fault (hardware reset) ***

The Virtual Machine just suffered a stack fault in kernel mode.
On a real computer, this would amount to a reset of the processor

Starting a single bash and working from that reduces it somewhat;
otherwise, simply running 'cat foo' (with foo an empty file) two or
three
times causes the VM to bomb.
Also, apparently no EMS support (emm386 gives an error). Don't think
this matters that much to DJGPP though.
