Do they actually want people to use gettext? This doesn't seem like a
particularly helpful attitude.

Lots of people still use RedHat 6.2 - there are lots of people that provide
RPMs for both RH 6.2 and RH 7.x, because 6.2 is so popular.

The latest version of RedHat is 7.2. I don't believe that RH 7.x has
approached the stability of RH 6.2 yet, but it's getting close. Hopefully RH
7.3 will come with a proper release of gcc too.

Anyway, this Linux talk is getting a bit off-topic. ;)
