This means that my suggestion about making %DJDIR% be a symlink won't
work 100%: IIRC, the startup code reads djgpp.env with _open and _read
(to avoid bloat).

Then maybe make all the standard subdirectories of %DJDIR% be
symlinks.  That would still test a lot.
