It's not silly; in my experience, there's no such thing as too much
good docs.

In an @itemize list, the "@item" should not be followed by anything,
it should be alone on its line.  (@table is the only construct where
@item is followed by something.)

You should not need to quote stuff with single quotes in Texinfo.
What you probably want here is ``copy-if-change'' instead.
