Well, maybe.  I already do for the configure script (SHELL gets set in
config.site) so I guess I can do it for autoconf itself as well.

Hmmm - true.

Guess I'll have to prepare yet another set of packages :-)
This time I'm going to wait a few days in case other problems are
found.
