Just for the record: I don't think Mark made any such change; the path
I mentioned is what _my_ private version of binutils uses. I don't know
what the ld from Mark's package does; it probably uses a hardcoded
script. So what path it would have used if it wasn't hardcoded doesn't
matter, I think (IIRC, ld will _never_ use scripts from the path if it
has a hardcoded one (unless specifically requested by -T of course)).
