Oh well :-) I shouldn't have posted such code. I looked into its
assembly - most of the inner loop is gone with 2.95, and all inner
loop is gone with 2.97. So it didn't work as I've intented - the only 
thing left was `for' loops. They provide some measurement, but not very
extensible.
