And cp works fine as well. Though I stopped it with C-c to not fill up
the hard disc.

I can do that with audio disc as well (although I can only copy what
is visible which isn't the music but some headers):

But a video disc is a data disc. Anyway sometimes there are software
on the video DVD-ROMs.
