We do appreciate your effort! (And I think Eli probably have stuffed
away your message somewhere for potential inclusion, but I can't of
course speak for Eli.) Thank you!

The patch hasn't been included yet (IIRC).

Personally I don't think I have the knowledge to know that your patch
does the right thing.

I presume it doesn't mess up the functionality on DOZE and WINDOZE 3.x
and up, right? Does allegro use sound()? If so a good test would be an
allegro program with a lot of sound() calls.
