Maybe, but this could also be unreated.  I'll post the traceback of the
crash, if that helps to determine whether this is the case.

Yes, at least AFAIK.  BTW, the variable $osname is set to empty string
on DJGPP, while it's set correctly on Unix, and I don't understand why.
Could this be a problem with our port of Perl?
