Done. While we're on annoyances...
Consider the PATH_EXPAND variable. Is there a time when a path 
shouldn't be expanded? If not, then shouldn't a command like 'ls 
//c/djgpp/bin' always have its argument fixed to 'c:/djgpp/bin'?
