I've tried periodically to get my collect2 patches into the egcs tree with
little or no reponse. My last attempt is archived at
http://www.cygnus.com/ml/egcs-patches/1998-Dec/0302.html but with
no results. I later asked about its status with no response, even though
the DJGPP config changes I asked about in the same note were added
soon after. If someone wants to ask about them, be my guest. I'm
going to wait for a relatively slow period before asking again.

BTW Andris, you can remove from your patches references to
"NO_STAB_H". According to one of the changelogs, that macro is no
longer used.

If its the same bug I ran into, that bug was fixed in the later part of last
October.

I tried your test with the collect2 from your SimTel binary. The link failed
as you reported. After backing up the stock collect2, I tried your new
collect2 and this time the link succeeded. Hope the report helps...
