Hi!

Archives of test version of DJGPP port of egcs-1.1.1
(egcs-2.91.60 19981201 (egcs-1.1.1-release)) is available from
DJGPP distribution sites (in directory v2/alphas/egcs-1.1.1).

I think that after rather short testing time I'll be able to make an
official release of DJGPP port of egcs-1.1.1. Perhaps 2 weeks
should be enough.

There are following archives:

egcs111s.zip  - sources (egcs-1.1.1 and libg++-2.8.1.2a-19981114)

gcce111b.zip - C compiler binaries
gppe111b.zip - C++ compiler binaries (needs gcce111b.zip)
g77e111b.zip - Fortran compiler binaries (needs gcce111b.zip)
objce111.zip - Objective C compiler binaries (needs gcce111b.zip)

lgpe111b.zip - libg++ binariy archive (libgpp.a, header and info files)

Some notes:
1) DJGPP 2.02 is required to get exceptions working without hacking;
2) Exceptions now are working more stable as with test version of
    DJGPP port of egcs-1.1a.
3) There are still some problems with building egcs-1.1.1 and libg++ from
    source archive but binaries should be Ok. These problems
    (./djmake.sh install-target-libg++) and some others will (I hope)
    be fixed to release. However LFN support is still REQUIRED to
    build egcs-1.1.1 from sources.

See more info in file readme.DJGPP in source archive and gcce111b.zip

Please test this version.

I think really we can treat this test release as beta (but no more alpha).

Only question: should I also announce this as beta version to
        djgpp AT delorie DOT com for more wider testing.

Andris
