Andris,
I've uploaded the new version of collect2.exe and collect2.c. I wasn't able to 
try your test case with the old version, but the version I'm using now didn't 
freeze when linking when leaving out the -lgpp. I also used DJGPP under 
Win95's DOS box. Download the new collect2.exe and let me know if this 
version works for you.
