I can put a fixed version of 2.9.1 as on the pgcc server if you guys want.  
The source changes are trivial.
In gas/config apply the following.  They are against 2.9.1 but they should apply on 2.8 fine
as well.  After talking to Ian it seems like we should try using the BFD assembler in stead 
of the multi-sections assembler.  I am going to go back and rebuild gas and then test it 
with BFD now.
