At least your patch about binary-mode of stdin was not applied.
I applied it now to my version.

I hadn't checked this until now, but I think, that this is not
fixed, since it seems to me a DJGPP specific problem and when I
remember correct, I was the only person who made DJGPP related
patches to binutils the last time.
