I answered it already, but here again my note. gcc 2.8.0 will
come with libgcc.a in

$DJDIR/lib/gcc-lib/djggp/2.80/

and _NOT_ in $DJDIR/lib/. So please remember this when installing
gcc 2.8.0 to remove first the old gcc files or move the to let's
say

$DJDIR/lib/gcc-lib/djgpp/old/

so can can still use the old programs/libs via

gcc -V old ...
