The goal of this was to be able to inmediatly restore the old archives in case of catastrophic failure
when switching from 2.03 to 2.05.  But that switch has not rised any issue so IMO there is no reason to
keep this directory anymore.  Old archives that are replaced by new port versions are moved into
/deleted anyway but not in current.old at all.  So there is no reason to keep it on the ftp sever IMO.
But in the end it is DJ's decision.
