I took a look several times (!), couldn't make heads or tails of it.
All my own attempts at patching it still crashed. So *BIG* thanks if
this indeed fixes it (configuring now, gonna recompile and test).
  :-D

P.S. Somebody e-mail Gordon, tell him to get back to work on porting
CMake, lol.    ;-)
