The way to use this familiy of functions is to pass a pointer to an uninitialized
pointer of char.  These functions determinate the amount of memory required to
store the formated output and the allocate a chunk of memory (through malloc())
exactly large enough to store the formated output inclusive the trailing '\0'.
Of course it is the users reponsability to free the memory allocated by asprintf
and the other ones.
