I don't have either a posix/search or a posix/string directory,
although I do have compat/search and compat/string directories, 
and I got a build failure on posix/string after a cvs update and make
last night. 
See other posting on subject: strtok_r patch. 
Yours may be related to subject: lsearch() and lfind() patch. 
Haven't seen anything about hash functions being added to the library.
