What surprises me is that everyone here seems to expect gunzip
to work, excepting me. From my seat it seems to be a perfectly
qood link. Its only fault is that the file it points to,
`gzip,' doesn't exist. If I write a simple text file called
by that name and then give the command:
> less gunzip
the text of gzip is displayed. So it is working as it should.
To answer your request, I probably could, but it would take too
long. Jerry Pournelle made a good wage from Byte Magazine for
many years claiming to be a user, not a programmer. So let me
claim the same privilege. If you have a test program in mind
please send it to me and I will gladly run it.
Regards,
Frank
