Trying to use gunzip, for example, results in the message: 'gunzip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Since linking files with an exe extention results in copying the file to the new name I suggested that one should check for stubs before ereasing a pre-existing file. One would want to erase a copy to replace it with the new version. And don't try to link without the extention.
