I didn't myself test the alpha release, simply because I don't have
time for that (I don't even have time lately to download every new
port of major packages like GCC). That is why I was being quiet in
this thread so far.

Full agreement. If we don't remove djdev203 from the FTP site, people
can always downgrade back if v2.04 has any grave problems.
Let's hit the street with v2.04 and see how bad can it be! ;-)
As a precaution, please try to build every single package you have
with the release candidate (if you haven't already) and run that for a
week or two to see if anything's broken.
