That doesn't work very well if you're adding a new directory, because it will
create the directory in CVS immediately. You may not want that, if the
directory name is likely to change. Similarly, if you 'cvs add' a file and
then rename it later, you have to remember to 'cvs remove' the old name and
'cvs add' the new name. All the things are error-prone.
Maybe cvsutils or cvs-utils help with these things. I've never got round to
using either of those, though.
