Much easier said than done.  Look at the old dxegen code, compare in
size and features to the new dxegen - and see how frequent and complex
the endian swapping is.

I have access to several - but most don't have GCC installed; and none
of them have a GCC cross compiler for DJGPP installed (which is what
is required to test this).  I know this isn't the best use of my
time, either.

I think it's just easier to say DXE generation isn't supported on 
big-endian cross compilation platforms (until someone sets it up and
is willing to take the effort to make it work).
