HELO. I say push this new malloc() into this alpha release. It would: 1. Let us see if it working. One earlier release was working fine for me (except the malloc debuggery). 2. Broaden the testing base big time. 3. Perhaps CBFalconer become motivated to correct the documentation (it's mostly compatible with what we already have if I've understood the discussion correctly). 4. If we aren't happy with the documentation for the beta release, bye-bye new code. Welcome back in five years or so. Right, MartinS
