How can I find its development place? I've checked a week ago at
Savannah, and last changelog entry was more than a year old.

I added code to show find's inode cache and it looks like this:
------------------
sh-2.05b$ touch Done
sh-2.05b$ find . -name '[Dd][Oo][Nn][Ee]' -exec rm -f '{}' ';'

dir_ids[0]:
ino = 268435457
dev = 2
name for stat() = .
normalized name = c:/devel/djgpp/gnu/findutils-4.1.7
dir_ids[1]:
ino = 268435487
dev = 2
name for stat() = find
normalized name = c:/devel/djgpp/gnu/findutils-4.1.7/find

c:/devel/djgpp/bin/find.exe: c:/devel/djgpp/gnu/findutils-4.1.7/.. changed durin
g execution of c:/devel/djgpp/bin/find.exe
------------------
Everything seems to be OK here WRT our stat() implementation. I guess
this is a bug in find itself, however I was unable to reproduce it
under powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu. I guess I will seek assistance from
Find maintainers in my copious free time.
