Built it (I built it using recent CVS version of DJGPP, gcc-3.1.1 20020625 
prerelease, etc). Built gdb-5.2.1 without problems after installing this bash 
version

2 small build related problems:

Variable BUILD_DIR in top level Makefile contains absolute path with 
backslashes. As result bashversion.exe is not found

The default value of CFLAGS is -g. Perhaps "-O2 -Wall -g" should be better.
Of course I can specify it in make command line
