-: The problem with that is that the DJGPP ports of bison 1.28 and later will -: generate y.tab.c if long filenames are available, otherwise y_tab.c. In both -: these cases COMSPEC should be set, so this Makefile fragment is broken. Thanks for pointing that out---you are absolutely correct. Of course, it has worked for me in the past because I am exclusively in DOS 5.0 or Solaris. I've now implemented Eli's suggestion (elsewhere in this thread).
