zippo parses .ver files, to see if it can get a package name and version
number. Since most .ver files follow the format below, this mostly works.
<manifest name> <name> <version> (<type>)
e.g.:
gmp41b GMP 4.1 (binaries)
If a DSM is present for the package, then that is parsed too. zippo removes
duplicate packages from its package list, preferring package descriptions
parsed from DSMs over .ver files.
