OFYI: I have reinspected enscript 1.5.0 and I have seen that ENSCRIPT_LIBRARY does not shadow the canonical path hard coded into enscript 1.6.1/2. So the actual value of this variable does not influence enscript 1.6.1/2's behaviour. Netherless I would suggest a + sign in front of ENSCRIPT_LIBRARY.
