Hmm - probably a nonstandard stub. IIRC gdb (well, bfd) does not handle anything other than a standard-length stub (because it uses a file header that includes a buffer of STUBSIZE bytes before the actual COFF header). This may prove a problem if the standard stub size ever changes.
