Since that configure script is never used for the DJGPP build, it's no
surprise it doesn't consider such cases.

If you intend to _use_ the Gawk you build, you should know that it has
a few nasty bugs. That's why I didn't release a port of it yet: it
crashes too often for me to be able to offer it to users in good
faith.
