It seems the CVS binary I use doesn't take long command lines properly; this caused it to commit all modified files under include with a truncated log (run from emacs through C-x v v in stdlib.h). Luckily, all those files were intended to go in (apart from the stdio.h one, but that should be a harmless change (defining L_ctermid to a value)). I'll try to admin the log messages into shape from Linux (where CVS DOES support long command lines). Further commits will be from the command line, using the -F option to get decent log messages.
