See GNATS PR #2853. IMHO we should get this one fixed,
because it might prevent compiling a lot of C++ code.
(Not because of particular strchr(), mentioned in
the PR - I'm afraid it's only a tip of iceberg).

BTW, PR seems to be CC'ed to some Mark E., with email
<snowball3 AT softhome DOT net>. Interesting... :)
