Yes, this is very nice but it would be better if one can download a tarball
containing the files in CVS. That is, for first time comers to the CVS web
interface like myself, it is very inconvenient to click on each file and
get a diff/revision history at that -- and not the file itself.

When first time comers get a CVS tarball they can then just visit the CVS
web interface and update their files as necessary. In any case a tarball of
the sources in CVS would be better in my case since I don't have CVS
access. Please don't kick me in the tarballs for being so persistent about
this ;-p (I think I heard of my co-workers say ``sourceforge'')
