Alain kindly sent me this announcement about the pretest version of
Grep. Unfortunately, I'm too swamped these days to be able to do
anything useful with the pretest.
Could people please try this out and return feedback to Alain?
TIA

Bonjour
[Mail sent to multiple recipients]
Finally took time to put my grep backlog on a diet, still lot of issues
and backlog patches in the queue waiting for processing. So getting
an alpha/beta out will help ease the patch conflicts and some of the
duplications.
Please :
- - resend some of your patches if they are not in 2.5b, a
diff with option '-p'.
- - remind me of bugs or feature missing.
- - remind me of missing credits.
etc ...
You can get here:
http://staff.qnx.com/~alain/grep-2.5b.tar.gz
and in a few days in
ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/grep/grep-2.5b.tar.gz
Or via CVS:
$ cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs AT subversions DOT gnu DOT org:/cvs login
Password: [just hit enter]
$ cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs AT subversions DOT gnu DOT org:/cvs checkout grep
passwd is carriage return .. I think.
If someone has write access to alpha.gnu.org
P.S:
Isamu Hasegawa, dfa.c has divert too much, you may want to resend
you patches base on the 2.5b src code. The regex.[ch] patches are not
necessary, I will get them from GNU Lib C.
