I don't really understand the practical implications of the change you
propose, i.e. the elimination of -mbnu210. Could you please describe
what does this mean in practical terms?
If the consequences are dire, perhaps we will be better off without
the possibility to bootstrap out of the box (another drastic measure,
but at least it doesn't affect users).
