It indeed looks like some of the system calls work differently on your
system.  Nothing new, of course, with all the `DLL he**'' going on out
there.  (Did you ever look what the System File Checker reports on
your system about replaced DLLs?)

No one said that the Linux counts are the correct ones.  The CDs in
question are probably with Joliet extensions, which might make them
appear slightly differently to different OSes, because each filesystem
sees a somewhat different picture.
