It's a good thing that I try to clean up my TODO from time to time... > I want to know how to reproduce the (original) problem. The target of the rename should already exist. Try with stubify, as the message I sent earlier shows. (That's how the opriginal problem was first discussed: linking failed because stubify couldn't rename foo.000 into foo.exe.)
