FWIW, a site that contains a draft of changes to the Unix spec for large- file support is at http://ftp.sas.com/standards/large.file/x_open.20Mar96.html You can also access the current draft of the Unix spec that no doubt incorporates these changes at http://www.unix-systems.org/. But be aware that to access the draft you have to agree to some conditions first. Mark
