I've put new source and binary distributions for CWSDPMI r5 on
ftp://clio.rice.edu/djgpp/

Changes compared to the earlier builds:
1) The source will build cleanly with Turbo C 2.01 (free from Borland), as
well as with Turbo C++ 1.01 (also free, and better). I did a quick test
on the image built from each of these and they appear to work OK. Is
there a free TASM syntax compatible assembler available?
2) A bug was fixed in the internal library shift routine which was causing
frequent failures under compilers without /3 support. This routine was
infreqently called with the standard distribution, but might have been
the cause of some hangs observed.
3) The source and makefile were modified to support a unified build with
the embedded stub. CWSPARAM was modified to support changing
   parameters on embedded-stub images.

I haven't finished the final code review/cleanup on the stub, but with the
nagging TC build bug fixed I doubt I will make any more changes to the core
r5 release. As soon as I finish the final stub review I'll do a final build
and announce a final beta on the newsgroup. The only high priority thing
left on my CWSDPMI list is 4Mb page support. Until then, if you want more
than 500Mb of physical memory your performance will suffer ...

Test now or forever hold your peace.
